The UNIVERSE... a soccer ball? [OT!]

Crazy stuff.

Now then, I can't really say anything and I probably won't I think it could be. I'm going to try to keep an open mind on all of this mainly because if you remember people used to think that the Earth was flat, so hey, the universe could be a soccer ball.

What are your thoughts?

Who knows, it could be possible. I don't know the reasons that led scientists to think this, but I know this is not inconsistent with all other existing theories - big bang, strings, relativity, etc.

I don't think "small" is a proper word, though. The universe can hardly be called "small", if only for the hundreds of galaxies we have detected, which are made of millions of solar systems, plus the dark matter theory, that says all of this is just the 5-10% of the whole thing - most of it is dark matter.
